You’ll also enjoy a buffet lunch in Sicuani featuring regional flavors. A comfortable, cultural, and panoramic way to arrive in Puno—perfect for travelers who want to experience more of Peru in a single day.
Departure in the morning at around 06:40 a.m. from Cusco by tourist transport heading to Puno. We begin by visiting the church of San Pedro in Andahuaylillas, famous as the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas” thanks to its stunning colonial decoration and artistic value. We then continue to Raqchi to visit the Wiracocha Temple, one of the most important constructions of the Inca period, notable for its scale and ceremonial significance. Next, we enjoy a buffet lunch in Sicuani with typical regional dishes to recharge on the route. We continue to La Raya Pass (4,335 m), the highest point of the journey and the natural border between Cusco and Puno—ideal for fresh highland air and panoramic photos. Finally, we visit the Pukara Lithic Museum, where we see representative pieces from the pre-Inca Pukara culture. Arrival in Puno in the afternoon.
