Itinerary
Enjoy a fun and different day trip from Lima that blends desert adventure, relaxation, and local tradition. Head to Ica for a unique experience at a dromedary and camel center, where you’ll enjoy a camel ride across the desert plus plenty of time to unwind with pool access and water slides. The day continues with an artisan winery visit featuring a wine, fruit macerate, and pisco tasting, along with traditional local sweets. Finally, you’ll visit the iconic Huacachina Oasis, surrounded by palms and dunes—perfect for photos and a relaxing walk. A great full-day option for travelers looking for something beyond the classic Paracas route.
We start at 4:30 a. m. with hotel pick-up in Lima and travel to Ica; along the way we stop to buy and enjoy breakfast (at your own expense), highlighting artisan bread options. At 9:30 a. m. we arrive at the Dromedary Center for a unique desert experience with camels and dromedaries, including a camel ride and over 3 hours of free time to enjoy the pool and water slides at the club. Afterward, you’ll have time for lunch and to try local cuisine (at your own expense). At 2:00 p. m. we visit an artisan winery for tastings of local wines, fruit macerates, and pisco, along with tejas and chocotejas sweets. Finally, at 3:00 p. m. we visit the Huacachina Oasis, a beautiful natural setting surrounded by palms and huarango trees—ideal for relaxing and taking photos. We begin the return to Lima at 17:30 p. m. after an exciting day in the desert.
