Itinerary
Make the most of your southern Peru route with the Colca Canyon Tour with connection to Puno, perfect for travelers who want to visit Colca and continue to the Altiplano in the same day. You’ll leave Arequipa before sunrise and head to Chivay, with scenic stops to admire high-Andean landscapes and adapt to altitude. The experience includes the famous Condor’s Cross (Cruz del Cóndor), where you can watch the majestic Andean condor soaring above one of the world’s most impressive canyons, plus viewpoints such as Antahuilque and Wayrapunku. Afterward, you’ll connect to Puno by bus, enjoying the scenery along the way and arriving around 7:30 p.m.. A smart option combining nature, adventure, and efficient logistics.
We start the Colca Canyon + Puno tour very early, with hotel pick-up in Arequipa at 3:30 a.m. and departure toward Chivay. Along the way we make strategic stops to enjoy the scenery and acclimatize, breathing the crisp air of the highlands. Once in Chivay, we enjoy a continental breakfast and, if desired, you may take part in optional activities such as canopy, kayaking, or quad bikes. We then continue to the Condor’s Cross viewpoint, where we watch the majestic Andean condors and admire the canyon’s depth, followed by other key viewpoints such as Antahuilque and Wayrapunku, perfect for panoramic photos. You may also relax in the Chacapi hot springs (entrance not included), a great break to recharge. Lunch is free time with local restaurant recommendations.
