Itinerary
Get ready for Machu Picchu with the perfect lead-in day through the Sacred Valley of the Incas and a smooth train connection to Aguas Calientes. This tour blends Andean landscapes, living culture, and Inca archaeology before your citadel visit. You’ll enjoy the Taray Viewpoint, explore the colorful Pisac Market and Pisac Ruins, recharge with a buffet lunch in Urubamba, and visit the impressive fortress of Ollantaytambo. To finish the day, you’ll board the Expedition train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes, where one hotel night is included and local assistance ensures you’re prepared for Machu Picchu the next day.
We pick you up from your hotel at 07:30 a.m. to begin exploring the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop is the Taray Viewpoint to admire the valley’s agricultural landscapes and Andean scenery. We continue to the Pisac Market, a vibrant place of crafts, colors, and tradition, and then visit the Pisac Ruins, where your guide explains the site’s historical and architectural significance within the Inca agricultural system. We enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba, then explore the Ollantaytambo fortress with its terraces and ceremonial plazas. Afterward, we head to the train station to board the Expedition train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes, where staff will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel and provide recommendations for your Machu Picchu visit the next day.
