Itinerary
Join one of Peru’s most iconic celebrations with the Inti Raymi Tour, Cusco’s spectacular Sun Festival. This full-day cultural experience immerses you in living Andean traditions, music, color, and ancestral rituals as you follow the classic ceremony route: it begins at Qoricancha, continues through the Plaza de Armas, and culminates with the grand staging at Sacsayhuamán. Along the way you’ll witness tributes to the Sun and offerings to Pachamama, brought to life through an impressive performance that celebrates Inca heritage. The tour includes transportation, a professional guide, and your Orange VIP Zone entry, plus a box lunch for added comfort throughout the day.
We start with hotel pick-up between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., then travel by tourist transport to the Qoricancha archaeological complex. Upon arrival, we get settled and wait for the start of the Inti Raymi festival, the famous Sun Festival. After watching the first part of the ceremony, we move along with the performers to Cusco’s Plaza de Armas, where we observe the symbolic delivery of the khipu from the Inca to the city’s mayor as a sign of alliance and good wishes. Next, we continue by bus to Sacsayhuamán, where you may use the grandstands arranged by EMUFEC (optional). During the celebration, there are tributes to the Sun and offerings to Pachamama, including the symbolic sacrifice of a black llama for the year’s fertility. Finally, we return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel, carrying the unforgettable memory of this living ancestral tradition.
