Arequipa – Santa Catalina Convent: 3-Hours Itinerary  

09:00 am – We will pick you up from your respective hotel to begin our walking tour.

We will start the City Tour from Arequipa’s Plaza de Armas, where a detailed explanation of the history of the Arequipa Cathedral and the surrounding portals will be provided.

Next, we head to the Church of the Society of Jesus, where a brief explanation about the history and construction of the church will be given.

Claustros de la Compañía de Jesús, located in the historic center, on the left side of the Church of the Society of Jesus, features an archway of carved sillar, beautiful corridors.

Casa Tristán del Pozo is a building that, for many architecture scholars, boasts the best example of typical Arequipa ornamentation in Peru on the facade pediment.

San Francisco Square and Church form one of the most beautiful buildings in the city, being the fourth temple and the third religious residence.

We will visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina, considered a colonial citadel within another city. There, you can appreciate spaces constructed according to their religious needs, with streets, avenues, and even its own cemetery.
