Catamaran Cruise Puno – Sun Island – Copacabana – La Paz: 2-Day Itinerary  

Day 1: Puno – Copacabana – Sun Island – Chua.  

At 6:30 a.m., transfer by road from Puno to the Sanctuary of Copacabana, crossing the border between Peru and Bolivia. Guided tour of the sanctuary and pilgrimage center of Bolivia, including the Basilica where the Dark Virgin of Copacabana is located. Subsequently, board the Catamaran Cruise to sail to the Sun Island, the cradle of the Inca Empire. On this legendary island, visit the Garden, the Stairs, and the Inca’s Fountain. The guided itinerary continues with a visit to the Inti Wata Cultural Complex, Bolivia’s main private tourist attraction, accessible only to tourists visiting the Sun Island aboard catamarans. This attraction includes the Underground Museum of Ekako, Traditional Medicine and Totora Reed Raft Construction Centers, a craft center, the Intica refuge, an Inca agriculture botanical garden, and a variety of Andean camelids. Later, return to the catamaran to enjoy a buffet lunch on board while sailing back to Copacabana. Continue by road to the port of Chua. Accommodation in the Catamaran Cruise cabins, dinner, and overnight on board.

Day 2: Pariti Island – Chua – Tiwanaku – La Paz

At dawn, sail from the Catamaran to the southern region of Lake Titicaca, breakfast on board during navigation. Next, there will be an opportunity to interact with indigenous people from Pariti Island during their daily activities. After this unforgettable experience, return to the Catamaran Cruise to sail to the port of Chua while having lunch on board. In the afternoon, transfer by land to Tiwanaku, the oldest civilization in the Americas. Their pre-Inca culture had extensive knowledge of the universe and its relationship with human life. Visit the Archaeological Site of Tiwanaku, including the Kalasasaya Temple, the Semisubterranean Temple, the Akapana Pyramid, the Gateway of the Sun, and other structures with astrological meanings linked to the Earth. The visit includes the Archaeological Museum. Finally, transfer to the city of La Paz.
